What this site is
HowTypicalAmI lets you compare a personal statistic (salary, sleep, screen time, etc.) against a public-data percentile distribution. It is provided for entertainment and self-curiosity. Results are approximate.
What you agree to
- You are at least 13 years old.
- You won't submit deliberately false or automated data, attempt to scrape the site at scale, or attack the service.
- You won't use embedded widgets or our API to defame individuals or groups.
- If you create an account, you keep your password to yourself and are responsible for activity on your account.
What we don't promise
- We don't promise the data is accurate down to the percentile point. Distributions are approximations of public population statistics; see methodology and data sources.
- We don't promise the site will be available 100% of the time.
- We may change the metrics, the calculation, or the site layout at any time.
Your content
The submissions you make are yours. By submitting, you grant us permission to use them in aggregate (without identifying you) to compute percentiles and improve the service.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend access if we detect abuse.
Liability
The site is provided "as is" without warranty. We aren't liable for decisions you make based on the percentile information.
